Even ‘busy bees’ need to take a rest…

Toronto (Nov 2017) – If I’ve learned anything over the years, life is not predictable nor do we have to be busy every minute of the day.  If we meticulously plan and carve into stone every detail, we more often than not end up disappointed.  If we choose to wait for the right moment, we could be waiting a long time as life slowly slips away.

We live in a face-paced society laden with high expectations, stress, pressure and a sense of urgency (often self-inflicted) to live the perfect life.  But what is the perfect life? It is what makes you happy, and happiness is as unique as the individual.  Whatever makes you happy, do it!  And while you’re doing it, slow down, chill, relax, be in the present and enjoy the moment for what it is.

There is so much tragedy and sadness in the world these days – hard to ignore and so easy to get swept up in all the negativity (possibly adversely affecting our own health and well-being).  Now is not the time to give up or shut down; it is time to carry on with optimism, positivity and unity.

Love life and “smell the roses” (or lilacs, or roasting coffee beans, or chocolate, or freshly cut grass, or the sea air, or… )!

I choose to be happy, and to do it with a SMILE!
