Toronto has added yet another artistic event to its growing repertoire of Art in the City. The newest festival is the first, and hopefully annual, Toronto Light Fest which is being hosted at the ever-popular The Distillery District.

This year’s theme is The Art of Light- Come out of the Dark and Into the Light. The festival’s creator and executive director, Mathew Rosenblatt, calls it “a new visual journey and imaginative cerebral experience” that “exhibits the creativity of local and international artists, and is a winter experience designed to entertain and inspire”.
The festival that began on January 27 will run until March 12. This will give you plenty of time to view and enjoy the various thought-provoking and interactive installations
The Distillery is a great place to meet friends any time of day, but it’s best to convene at dusk during the festival to truly appreciate the beautiful colours. What a delightful way to spend an evening (perfect for a date night).
